Re: [boskid] [2.0.11] "recipe not researched" on parameters

You can research everything in the editor for free. Lol, yeah. I have to "craft" 50 iron plates to research steam power, I have to "craft" a lab to research red science, I am not even sure if "crafting" it in assemblers count. Ironically electronics is already research...

Re: Careful what email address you send your key to...

Is there a reason you didn't go to GOG if you just (understandably) don't want to deal with the payment process? I presume this was directed to me, but I think you misunderstood my prior point. The payment process isn't arduous for customers, really. Standard stuff, just enter your CC info and clic...

This wasn't clear to me until I finished the purchase. Should be a more prominent warning.

I might buy a second copy, likely gonna go the GOG route then.

Re: GoG User Agreement Changes Discussion

Why would anybody get Factorio from gog.com? Why wouldn't you just get it straight from Wube? stranger things happen, some ppl even use steam. but in the context "gog content" means the distributed files other methods of distribution - ie installer packages. no legal background but i doub...

Re: It is pointless to increase the difficulty of the game

Achievements are bloody useless at best, can take you out of the game, can spoil details if you look at the condition. But we (nowadays known as "the old people") all know the horrible truth: It replaced something way better. Back in the time you did not have achievements but games did all...

Re: Fluid Mechanics Still Broken, 6 Years Later?

I agree that my first and foremost problem is getting more oil (and getting big guns for that), but from what I read its a inexplicable hard problem already to evenly fill multiple fluid wagons. Not necessarily. Do note that the man which started this discussion is crash testing liquid physics mech...

Re: Fluid Mechanics Still Broken, 6 Years Later?

Those are all distribution problems with demand exceeding supply, produce as much as you need and you have no issues. This is the same answer as it was 6+ years ago. It's such an incredibly simple solution - I have no idea why people insist on making fluid splitters when the root issue is "You...

Re: ARM Build

obviously yes. speaking for myself i wouldn't complain about keeping such a thing a unsupported beta until enough demand is there.

certainly beats the hoops one would need to jump through by using qemu or fex-emu.

Re: ARM Build

Is there any update, now that Factorio is native on Apples M1 and even The Nintendo Switch? Seems the hardest parts should be done already. Personally I have a Chromebook with a Snapdragon 7Gen2, not having an Arm64-Linux build is seriously impeding the factory growth! From a perfomance standpoint t...
