Solved:

Pressing CTRL+M exits that mode and returns full playability.

Pressed some button, and now it's in a different mode. Leftclicking on any machine or object doesn't interact with said object anymore, so I cannot select a machines recipe, etc. It also hid most of the UI, all the UI stuff from minimap, the quickrows of items from the inventory, etc. all hidden.
