Another option is to change the tile graphics to be centered on the intersection between a 2x2 area of tiles.
As demonstrated in this article: http://blog.project-retrograde.com/2013/05/marching-squares/
A single strip of land or water can be exactly one tile wide this way.
This solves your issue ...

actions don't conflict with others so they will match with the simulation so you don't feel delayed.

Does this mean things like movement will be rendered client-side instantly before actually being simulated? Thus making playing with 200ms ping not feel so delayed?Tomas is working on the lag hiding and it seems to have nice results, you can expect detailed description of it in the next fff.

You guys should use OBS to stream/record. It's free and very efficient (and simple to hook up to Twitch). I get no noticeable performance drop no matter what I stream or record with it. FRAPS is ancient and frankly awful.

Since the tanks are 3D models to begin with, would it be too much effort to export more than just 8 angles? Or is this just for previewing?
