In essence, the idea is that turrets integrate well into walls graphically, just as walls connect to other walls / gates gracefully.
Side idea: give turrets ability to report ammo counts to the network (at least bob's sniper turrets appear to not be connectable?)

Re: [0.13.0] New steam installation crash
This is very much possible, as display adapter stated in the dump (1024x768) is my secondary display, while game was obviously trying to init on primary one. add. information: primary display is Samsung, model 2233SN, running at 1920x1080, secondary is an ancient LG Flatron L1515S at 1024x768. Conne...

Re: Just bought the game; What were Your first impressions?
- Definitely needs something to consume goods in the end game. Don't know what, exactly. Maybe more bigger projects that require more of the goods being produced? Do what I'm trying to do right now - get an auto-rocket-launch mod, and try to build sustainable 10 rocket launches per minute factory :...

Re: Rethink the skill tree ! And constraint !
You need pumps for other fluids, not just water. Ever tried pulling crude oil from a really long distance?Man-of-location wrote: Items
Same think for the pump , you have water everywhere ! Why are you need to use the pump for much pression , if your machine are just next to your pipe .

Re: Is it a no-go for launch?
Gotta like the attitude of people nowadays... How some people really think that they are SO important and whatnot that they deserve to know if there is going to be a release on day <xy> or not. Being paid to do reviews and crap like that or not, it is ridiculous. Thanks to people with this lack of ...

Re: Belt vs Bot computing
I did think of that. But then I thought about the headache which is how to ensure all the different mini factories get their needed plates without starving the rest... I suppose that's logistics for you, and part of the fun of factorio :D The answer is, even more smelting, possibly more than one sm...

Cloud features for saves / blueprints
Change: Upload information - saved games and blueprint strings to specified public/private cloud (possibly 3rd party service, i.e. dropbox) as an option. Open API for blueprint sites, i.e. factorioblueprints.com and similar. Why: Sharing saved games and blueprints between both own computers, and wit...

Re: Undervaluing your work
Nope... still alpha One hell of an alpha... The state of the game you guys call "alpha" is what other big game studios would call a finished game and they'd have stopped working on the project ever since the release to Steam and called it a day. Big game studios would call it RC, cu...

Re: How I sort of wish this was a Warhammer 40k game
Sad...BUT Facebook was not shutted down, wasn't it? ;) Ehm, IMO, GW would fight the modder, not Factorio, wouldn't it? I don't know the laws myself but probably there is someone here, who knows the rules and laws. Jurisdiction dependent, you technically could sue a host site for enabling IP infring...

Re: How I sort of wish this was a Warhammer 40k game
I mean, factorio is just the platform for those people, who are modding it, so they can not be guilty IMO! Well, let me put this this way - we had a semi-private facebook community shut down by facebook for GW's IP infringment, because someone posted photo of a 3d printed 28mm scale space marine mo...

Re: How I sort of wish this was a Warhammer 40k game
Please be very wary of invoking the name of Games Workshop Intellectual Property, especially Warhammer / Warhammer 40K. They have very aggressive lawyers who protect their IP with the ferocity of a Templar. They have successfully shut down mentions of Space Marines, fan-art re-skins of board and ca...
