Make sure there are lamps in the train available and check if place pole entities is active ("S" button when inside the FARL)

It must have been my manual loading that messed stuff up, 10 seems to be a good number. There still a bit of a problem with the bots though, especially if loaded manually.

I know there are various advantages and disadvantages of using them compared to lasers but I was suprised by a few of them and they make gun turrets much more annoying to use. why not include building the components as part of the complexity? Because it has nothing to do with the complexity of laying out the power station. A solar field + its optimal array of accumulators is simply simple it doesn't matter if you are laying 100, 1000, 10000, 100000 the pattern is the sam...

I think this is already possible by using circuit networks. Setup smart inserters to take from smart/normal chests to the storage/provider chests and turn the inserters on and off based on information in the network. If the higher priority is empty turn on the lower priority inserters.

Putting batteries that needs to be switched/recharged in Laser Turrets makes them a bit too much like Gun Turrets. Gun Turrets need much more bullets than Laser would need batteries but they would both require similair setups at the turrets themselves. I.e. something to get the bullets/batteries the...

Adding creep blocking building near the spawners would also prevent tactics with building pipes around them to prevent enemies from spawning.
