Re: Let modded rail bounding boxes be larger than vanilla

I would like to echo the mod creators request.

Can you explain to me which situations could occur that are now fixed with this change? If there is a change made to a system which has been there for a long time, I would really like to understand the need for it to change :)

Re: Friday Facts #236 - Building a rollup

My reaction is, that through the last month's I got disappointed by the fff's I so grew to love throughout the years that I stopped caring. It's a bummer really, but maybe you have just said everything there is to say.

Fff's were a place to get excited about the game every week. Were.

I am astounded by the attitude of you guys. I can neither understand it, nor find it helpful and I am left bewildered.

Can't help it I guess, if that is how you live your life, so be it.

Re: Games Like Factorio

Because I'd rather have the games mentionned in this forum for their similarities with Factorio all together in the same topic, instead of tens of topics with people advertising for their favorite "if you like Factorio you might like this game too" game. Moreover, if the game was already ...

Why did you do that? The game has already been mentioned in here, it should have stayed like it is imo.

Some love for Autonauts?

hi there! first of all, I am not in any way affiliated with the Autonauts team, I just really like their project and I would be really sad if they would not be able to continue on with their development. Some of you may already know the game, here is their kickstarter campaign: https://www.kickstart...

Re: Friday Facts #207 - Lua noise specification

I thought that 0.15 was the start of HD Textures and you will just push out more of the Textures as soon as you get them done. Seems not to be the case, why? :) I'd like those textures way better in the game i can play than only visible in fff's again!

Happened to me as well today. Exact same use case as OP. It sucks to lose a whole book that easily and are forced to reload if you wanna recover it. :?

Re: 0.15 pre-release to major mod makers!

Some guy: "Hey! Wouldn't it be AWESOME if the devs pre-released 0.15(at least as it is now, pre-launch) to the major mod makers (Angels, Bobs, Yuoki, AAI) so they can prep their updates ahead of time... The Entire Factorio Player Base: "Yeah, you know, that would be great!" -2 cents ...

Re: Factorio changes over the last year?

Well, he asked if someone could give him a summary. Linking him to a slew of links is not that. ;) Daniels info was pretty good though, what I remembered is cool fire system + multiplayer code revamp + general code revamps. Not that many new Gameplay things you can play around with apart from maybe ...

... This is the intended context for the new science pack recipes, what is there to gain by changing one but not the other? Re: Factorio Release Cycle

Most of the features in .15 break existing mods, so releasing new features once they are ready would kill moding as we know it. well, even if that was the case (i dont think it necessarily would be), I personally take new updates from the devs over a higher number of updated mods ANY DAY of the wee...

Re: Factorio Release Cycle

Also keep in mind that we are currently playing with 0.14.22, not 0.14.0. So there has in fact been a bunch of releases since 0.14 went live. They just have a fixed list of features they want to have implemented for 0.15. You might ask why they didn't just release those different features as they g...
