Re: The sad state of circuit logic
I realize I'm kinda late to the party but this is a very interesting thread and I hope some people will at least consider the idea I came up with. Please bear with me because I haven't read all 3 pages but especially Twinsen's reply caught my interest. Reading this thread I came to two conclusions a...

Re: Friday facts #151 - The plans for 0.14
I think it's clear from context: this algorithm is only applied to inserters. You have chunks (32x32) tiles which are subdivided into 3x3 regions. Then you go through all the tiles labeled 1, looking only for inserters. I just realized now (as I'm talking about it) that a long-handed inserter has a...

Re: Friday facts #151 - The plans for 0.14
Following these last two FF I'm suddenly more interest into the game's development than the game itself. :D No, it is not a sudoku :), all the chunks with number 1 can be updated at the same time, as long as the logic doesn't change anything further than the neighbour chunks. Then we update chunks 2...

Re: Version 0.13.3
I don't know where best to put this I have some (balance) feedback for the experimental branch: Many bonus researches provide an extra bonus if you finish the last upgrade. I really really like that so I hope there will be extra bonuses for all of them in the final version. (final +grenade damage fo...

Unfortunately, I doesn't fully work. Laser beams don't seem to change with upgrade levels. Thanks for the effort anyways!

Holding an item that brings up rail placement highlights/help (rail signal, etc) causes constant deysnch and map reload in multiplayer. Didn't happen in the previous version.

[bug] Steam account can't be linked with private profile
I kept getting insufficient membership errors until I logged in once with my steam profile temporarily set to public. After that, I set it back to private and I can still log in. Not sure if this was the exact cause (can't reproduce it now ofc). Anyway, I guess it is best you look into it if you hav...

Will there be a 0.13 version for this? Continues beams are SO MUCH better than slow moving, homing projectiles.

To my surprise I was really excited about Factorio on Android... until you mentioned the "keep paying if you want to keep playing" model. That's just not going to happen for me! April fools aside- I'm curious, so "f2p" is the model even for core gaming ports? I mean is there even...

RE: Rail Tankers. A different one to be researched for each fluid type and different components required to build each one, ie acid tanker would requie better than steel to contain it's corrosive nature and have each tanker the colour of the fluid it can carry. I see no harm in that given we won't ...

Nice compact set up although I wonder is there no drawback to leaving one of the fluid inputs / outputs of a refinery or plant disconnected?
And why do peole prefer rail circles in their bases intead of using bidirectional trains? (according to every screenshot featuring a train I've seen so far)

Is there any reason why these turrets only deal 10 damage instead of 20 (regular laser turret)? Makes them look pretty weak against behemoths!

How do you make sure that only one carriage doesn't overload on either empty or full barrels leaving too little storage space (or eventually none at all) for the other?
