Initially the 66% nerf to PLDs seemed huge, but then the more I thought about it, I realised:
Everyone comparing PLD pre-nerf to PLD's post-nerf, aren't getting the point, The entire point of a nerf is to push your play style *away* from using PLDs as your primary offensive weapon.

Async saving is one of those oddball things that seems like it's a workaround to a bigger problem. If saves were barely noticeable then why even bother to put the effort in for a feature that 1% of 1% of the userbase uses? Why not work towards a solution that helps all users?

IMHO a scripting language for something like Factorio should have two things:
Purity
Simplicity
Lua mostly meets the second requirement, but it's lack of purity is what makes it awful for safety, performance and flexibility.

I tested with Gnome on Wayland, and it's not really better there. Not sure, whats the problem, but it might be that, NVidia is not very well supported for Wayland. I guess, I just wait...I'm ok, how it works on Xorg currently
