I experience the very same Issue on linux (Manjaro Xfce, Linux 6.5, proprietary nvidia driver) as well. The tearing appeared in previous versions, but could be fixed with "Force full Composition Pipeline" option. But this does not fix the issue anymore.

Can provide full specs and logs if needed.

I reinstalled and tried a compatibility mode (Proton 7.0-2), which gave me now a new error log factorio-current.log

The issue persists into the experimental version [1.1.60] as well. I tried reinstalling Steam and Factorio, but this didn't resolve the issue. It was okay, as version [1.1.55] still worked fine for me, but now I can select it in steam anymore! As the save games are not compatible with [1.1.53 ...

I tried reinstalling steam, but the issue persists. I did not find a similar issue for this current version. I'll wait for the next steam version. Thanks.

I started the game on Steam with the launch button.

the game crashes immediately, prompting an Error Message (see error.jpg). Also, no log is created! . The provided log file is from the last working version 1.1.55.
