Re: Friday Facts #432 - Aquilo

The concept of 'Railgun' is to remove the inefficiency of using chemical fuel from the equation (gunpowder, solid/liquid propellant, etc.), utilizing a magnetic coil to generate a powerful magnetic field that is formed in a particular way to accelerate the 'entire' solid projectile at a very high m...

Re: Friday Facts #427 - Combat Balancing & Space Age LAN

"offsetting" is such a strange way to look at it. When a balance change is made, it's not like the thing that was changed has a buff/debuff in the game itself. It's just the new default. Quality affects PLD the same way it affects everything else, it increases its stats higher than the de...

Yet another "new" thing I've already seen and experienced in the completely free Space Exploration mod

Re: Friday Facts #416 - Fluids 2.0

It doesn't look like future FFFs are going to actually give any information that fixes the problem this one has introduced. You've just released an announcement that you've removed a gameplay mechanic and "stay tuned for future updates!" If you actually have other meaningful changes to flu...

There is a lot of things that aren't Wube's problem.

More importantly tho, what is your prescription to me?
I'm explaining to you how things work, which you don't like. No really, don't complain about having limited time while asking Wube to waste theirs.

Re: Friday Facts #415 - Fix, Improve, Optimize

the problem is that a lot of mods will get ported to v2 only very slowly. if ever. users who enjoy playing with mods whose authors don't have the time could benefit from improvements such as fixes to the logi bot algorithms, but if the bugfixes are limited to a compatibility-breaking releases, they...

Re: Why was asyncronous autosaving removed from the game?

Oh it was definitely in the other section. I've never used crtl+atl when clicking on settings before and yeah the function I'm looking for is in there under a different name. Thanks for the tip, though, that does solve the problem.

Why was asyncronous autosaving removed from the game?

In the Mac and Linux versions of the game, there used to be an option to make it so that autosaving would not cause the game to hang. I am using the Linux version. I am pretty sure the feature was still available when version 1.1 was released, but it's not anymore and I can't find anything in the pa...
