Re: Nauvis Post Collapse (16GB ram minimum required)
Ok, got it to at least to appear. The trick is on a new install, a person may not have a scenario folder under user. You can add the folder, then put the scenario in there and it will show up as a user scenario. Thanks for replying MEOWMI and hopefully this will be helpful to others as well.

Re: Nauvis Post Collapse (16GB ram minimum required)
Is there a simple fix to get it to work perhaps?
Mine still shows up and loads just fine. You sure you installed it correctly? It goes in the appdata factorio scenarios folder, extracted.
The path for mine (I have a steam version) is Factorio/data/base/scenarios/Nauvis Post Collapse.
I ...

Re: Nauvis Post Collapse (16GB ram minimum required)
Just revisiting this thread since 1.0 has now hit the streets. I have always wanted to try it, but I knew my old system wasn't up for it.
I did put it in the scenario folder (which is different from the screen shots posted earlier, but that might be because I have 1.0 vs whatever version those ...

Re: Friday Facts #261 - Performance + New player interaction
My two cents on the tutorials.
First, there is going to be no "one size fits all" when it comes to a tutorial. People learn different ways. This could be even tougher than say school because at least the students are roughly the same age. Players of a game are all ages stretching from young to old ...

Re: Xterminator Youtube acc Terminated?
I watch a lot of his videos, especially related to Factorio and he hasn't been anything but a great ambassador for Factorio in terms of content he provides. It has to be some sort of screw up by YT. Getting in touch with someone there to fix it will likely be a nightmare.

I have been learning about Angel's mods as well and ran across this series on You Tube by Nilaus. Very helpful I think in getting started.

Silly question about in game tutorials
I did some digging around, but apparently I am not looking in the right spot. I was playing a solo game and got to the point of rail roads when there was a pop up about a in game tutorial. I was busy with something else at the moment and didn't want to hit it and it went away. I went looking for it ...

Re: Oil Refineries, can this math be right?
I usually start out with building things in a certain order when it comes to refinery stuff. First, I build a lot of tank space to build up a buffer. First is crude and I get that filling from the wells while I build the rest of the refinery complex.

I fall into the category of newbie as well.

Re: New Hope level 2 gives me quite some trouble
I assume this is the third scenario? Sounds like it from the description with trains involved. The second scenario was fairly easy as it is in the corner of the map with few issues with bugs.
