Re: splitter bug / problem
The first one will also jam if items are only on one (wrong) side of the belt. Side loading an underground only lets through the product that hits the "open" half of it.
Sorry for bothering everyone — turns out it was just user error on my part.
Funny how easy it is to miss the obvious ...

splitter bug / problem
It’s strange—when my 4x4 splitter is facing left, everything works perfectly. But if I flip the design to face right, the belts get jammed and the flow stops. (see the red arrow) Can anyone knowledgeable explain why this happens? Is there a technical reason for this behavior, or a fix to make it ...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
I’d like to keep all my buildings and entities, but remove all red and green wires so I can redo the wiring from scratch.
Is there an easy way to do this, maybe via the editor mode or some other trick?
I don't think there is an easy way, that would require some complicated command. There are ...

Hi everyone,
I’ve built a nice layout in my current map, but unfortunately I’ve made quite a mess with the red and green circuit wires.

Re: getting trash out of the network
I have filled up many boxes, e.g. the network with scrap when playing around in creative mod, editor and editor extensions
- how to empty the boxes all all together?
you can delete them in the editor with the decon planner, they would just disappear and their content.
Sorry, the content ...

I created a test game in Factorio Editor Modus for development purposes, which I have effectively ruined by mistakenly storing massive amounts of materials in network chests that I cannot delete.
To get rid of vast amounts of items in the editor, configure the map editor like this:

Press B, or click the icon in the top right of the screen, to enter the Blueprint Library.
You can store blueprints in there. There are two tabs. One tab stores blueprints within the current save, the other tab is available across all saves.
If you need to transfer blueprints across different ...

Friday Facts #404 - Frustration not found
With a blueprint in the cursor:
SHIFT + Arrow keys - adjusts the Grid position.
CONTROL + Arrow keys - adjusts the Absolute grid offset.
This arrow key klick doesn’t work on the Mac.
Where may I set this in the Factorio preferences?

Re: Reactor network setup
What do you think about my idea of scrapping the system T value entirely and instead implementing a mechanism where, whenever a useful fuel cell is removed from the reactor, only one new fuel cell is inserted?

I tried the -750 with one reactor for several hours, but it didn’t work out for me at reliable as with four.
I don’t know why it is so, but that is life.

Now if you think of it, do you need to connect the 4 reactors and use - 3000 ? or could you just go with 1 reactor and use -750 ? seem to work the same to me.

Is this the case?Loewchen wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 8:52 pm Generally you should use a single reactors state for all inserters so they run synchronized, otherwise you lose the neighboring bonus and waste more fuel than you save.
If I connect a wire to 4 reactors to check the temperature I will loose the neighboring bonus?

I have used this simple setup and it works - controlling T on all 4 reactors, no steam and inserting only 1 rod per cycle
