Behavior is observed. When a chest is placed first, the wire is removed. However, if the inserter is placed first, the wire remains.

Could not replicate the conditions with the base game so ran through the mods to find the culprit. It appears as though it is the Ruins Mod. Starting parameters are set to 0 for the starting position. This narrow starting area could be interfering with start-up and preventing interaction. Will ...

Interaction failure
Upon creating a new game, character does not generate and all game interaction is blocked/failed with the exception of traversing the map.
