Re: [1.1.101] Performance regression causing severe stuttering
It seems like the issue itself is unrelated to bluetooth, but simply that there's a stutter any time a keyboard is added or removed in Windows. You should be able to reproduce the stutter by plugging any keyboard in while the game's running, though it won't be persistent unless you repeatedly plug ...

Re: [1.1.101] Performance regression causing severe stuttering
Update: It was my keyboard.
I have a bluetooth keyboard that I keep plugged in with USB, and at some point I must've cleared the keyboard's bluetooth pairing because Windows was repeatedly trying and failing to connect to it. Now that I've unpaired the keyboard Factorio is running flawlessly again ...

Re: [1.1.101] Performance regression causing severe stuttering
I don't have any plugged in to disconnect, and the only one I use is a DualSense over bluetooth. Should I try unpairing it?Bilka wrote: Thu Dec 28, 2023 12:47 pmTry disconnecting any controllers that you might have connected.

Re: [1.1.101] Performance regression causing severe stuttering
While that might be related, this specific performance issue happens no matter what level I play, even the menu simulations have clear stutter in v1.1.83+.
My machine is also fairly capable; an AMD 5800X3D and 2070 super should be plenty for Factorio.

[1.1.101] Performance regression causing severe stuttering
Edit: The issue was my bluetooth keyboard, Factorio stutters every time Windows tries (then fails) to connect to it. If your issue is still present 1.1.82 or below it's unrelated to this one since 1.1.83 is the first version with input switching.

Re: [1.1.13] Searching Controls GUI causes every collapsed category to permanently reveal contents
Thank you! If it's not too much effort, I would love if it also kept the state of each category then restored it after the search is over. It's not a huge issue, but it just makes searching feel much more complete.
Regardless, I'm glad this issue is solved.

[1.1.13] Searching Controls GUI causes every collapsed category to permanently reveal contents
Steps to reproduce:
Collapse any category in Controls Settings
Search for anything, then cancel the search
What happens:
Any categories that were collapsed now show all their contents, but are also still marked as collapsed.

Re: [1.1.12][Minor] Searching controls settings reveals items in collapsed categories
Why? How often do you collapse categories you want to search?

Re: [1.1.12][Minor] Searching controls settings reveals items in collapsed categories
I'd rather see results from collapsed categories than search for an item and think it doesn't exist when really it's just in a collapsed category.
Collapsed categories still show up in search results, if you can't find something then obviously you would expand the category.
I'm simply arguing ...

Re: [1.1.12][Minor] Searching controls settings reveals items in collapsed categories
Thanks for the report however that's working as intended. Searching shows all matches - regardless of what the sate was before the search.
If that's the way you want search to work, there's still the bug that collapsed categories show all their contents after searching, even if you cancel the ...
