The standalone version does work! Steam has done something weird, what a pain. Thanks.

[1.1.101][linux] Game doesn't start any more
Factorio was working fine yesterday. I updated to 1.1.101 and also installed various updates to Proton and the Steam Linux Runtimes.
With no launch options or specific compatibility tool, clicking "play" in Steam cycles the button through "cancel" and "stop" briefly, before showing "play" again ...

Ability to create our own entity types
It would be nice if we could code our own entities for complex behaviour that doesn't fit into one of the existing types.
Is this possible at the moment? If not, how difficult would it be?
