I know. But you can also use destruction planner. So why you can't deconstruct by hand? It is not logical.

Test your right mouse button and check your key bindings. Maybe something is changed?
Edit: oops I missed that you are in map view. Return to standard view to build and mine.


It was not by purpose, I just realized (after 1000+ hours in game) that I can build on map view as usual.
My point is ...

V 1.0.0-0, freeplay, 111+ hours, no mods, no cheats

I realized that I can zoom to my character on world map and regular building rules applies. I can build in a certain distance by hand. But I can't mine/pick/remove.
This is definitely not a bug but I thought it is worthy to mention.
