Lazer turrets and a ton of generators will solve all of your defense problems so that you don't have to spend so much iron on ammunition. I did the same thing (challenging myself not to use robots or any smart objects) and now I have about 20k magazines that are useless.

It might be an interesting way to work multiplayer. The last part of the campaign is an endless map and once people land you can visit friends worlds and load materials onto spaceships along with fuel and move resources between worlds. Maybe even cross world PvP.

Sounds good, but how will that work? Will the alpha keys be reset? If the goal isn't met the money would be sent back but the game files can't be sucked back up into the internet. Would anybody who didn't pre-order just stop getting updates or some such?

Is there any way the music could just be stored as files and pulled when needed so that you could just copy paste your own music files in? Not sure if it would be possible with this but I know The Sims does something similar with radios and sound systems where you can have them play your own custom ...

Growing bit by bit. Changed as much conveyor belt as possible to underground belts and added a Science Pack 2 production line. Hardcoded. They're in the base code of the game and can't be disabled. That way even if you turn off the attacks you can still go assault the bases to get alien artifacts.

Energy Loss Over Distance
Are you considering putting in energy being lost when traveling large distances from the source? Seems like a simple concept that would lead to much more complex designs with relay setups connecting power storage units to get the most efficient use in a large factory.

I'd recommend adding a help section to the game discussion portion for players looking for help in game if they can't figure something out. Also for that section a FAQ post pinned with some common issues people have with links to the wiki and a basic guide on how to search the forums and wiki.
