Re: Hugest Factory with Hi-Speed-BUS design (updated 20.02.2

Meh, I have the exact same problem. It's why I didn't finish my second factory, as I'm tinkering with the speed of belts and flow of materials.
However I fear that the only real solution is a simple multiplication of the different belts and plants.

HCCF: High Capacity Compact Foundry

After many hours of tweaking and tinkering, I think I managed the most compact foundry possible that can process a full two lanes mineral belt. The main problem is the electric alimentation of the inserters, since a two lanes mineral belt mean you need a second belt of coal, and that leave no place ...

Re: Hugest Factory with Hi-Speed-BUS design (updated 20.02.2

I was working on my factory, and I notice that its remarkably similar to yours. I think there is not a lot of ways to make a clean BUS design. Horizontal ressource lines with vertical production lines. The only differences would be small details, belt optimization, etc... And you did just what I wan...

Re: Compact belt arrangement

I'm up for option C, as the different speeds can easily also mean a different depth. Also, to further mark the difference in both speed and depth, and to counter the prohibitive price of red and blue underground belts, I would suggest a different underground distance possible for each type of belt. ...

Re: The hugest Mega Factory with Hi-Speed-BUS v2.0 design!!!

It will take some time, I'm working on the conveyor belts right now. When you have a huge number of smelters and assemblers, a single belt is often not enough to handle the amount of materials processed. And the highest speed belt is really expensive..

Re: The hugest Mega Factory with Hi-Speed-BUS v2.0 design!!!

Nice factory! You used the same principle as my Classification Factory ("Gare de triage" in french). Centralisation of ressources and dispatching to individual production lines. However, yours is neater, and bigger. I'm actually working on my second factory, we will see who use this system...

English is not my main language, but I think the proper usage is "Flight" here.

Re: Compact belt arrangement

Three belts in two lanes, nice. However, I have better... I present you, three belts in ONE lane! http://tof.canardpc.com/view/b204a050-db97-4de2-a126-5974b97d8d03.jpg The construction is quite special, you need to build from the end of your triple belt. Build a first underground belt with maximum r...

Re: [Bug]U-turn belts randomly getting stuck

Yup, still happening in 0.2.7.
I was lucky and managed to reproduce it a few seconds after remaking a u-turn on a fast belt.

Big factory with classification yard

Hello world! This is my first factory on the alpha. I immediatly had an idea to centralize ressources to dispatch them to individual production lines. This is the result: http://tof.canardpc.com/view/be676479-94ed-415a-b069-1f6db711b518.jpg 1- Electric Generators 2- Iron foundry (2 parts) 3- Copper ...

[Resolved 0.2.8] U-turn belts randomly getting stuck

Hello, I have made a huge factory to automatize labs, and in doing so have encountered multiple times a bug with U-turn belts. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here you go: http://tof.canardpc.com/view/1c24f787-509c-42f5-b927-9ae5362a5b33.jpg As you can see, the U-turn at the top is stuck....
