Hm, no, something is wrong. Wherever I place a turret, they always accumulate just out of range.

Actually, after giving this some thought, the wayfinding might not be a bug. The enemy units are attracted to the spidertron, walk towards it and get caught in the coastline. What else are they supposed to do, there's no better way to reach their target. So it's only the performance thing, but maybe...
