Re: Logistics Smart Storage System

Wow, what a great system! I stopped my last game short due to this very reason, the chaos I faced once my robots reached the hundreds. I no longer knew what on earth was going on! So, this time I've started again, planning ahead. Thank you for giving me some extra organisation to add to my factory l...

Re: logistics & blueprints

Hey, great setup! Thanks for sharing. I will implement and test this and let you know how I go. Like yourself, I am always looking for a standardized, efficient design. I have gained speed in early game and am working out my mid-game efficiency. I stopped my last game when I got to the logistics sys...

Re: Deterministic vs. Non-deterministic

I remember writing an essay about determinism vs free will back in undergraduate philosophy. I was wondering if this would steer in that direction. I have always taken the view, from my observation of life that both exist in parallel. The most important factor for a human, or the 'end-user' is the '...

Punished for lowering difficulty!

I have lost count of how many times I have started a new game. Being confronted with technological frontiers I am greatly unfamiliar with, I lose control of my base, both is keeping up with supply:demand as well as future planning. This time around I thought, "Well you know what, you deserve an...

Re: [MOD 0.9.x] TimeButtons v0.0.7

Heya! I've just started to use this mod and can I say, after starting a new game in Factorio several times, aiming for greater efficiency each time, this mod is such a time-saver! I have just run into an issue though. I am running Factorio 0.9.3 with TimeButtons 0.0.7 and I cannot save my game. I h...

Re: Wiki: Current and future

The scripts from above work best in the command-line. For the rest you need to look into the code. Cube's loader class needs the directories of the core and base and other modules-directories as parameter. You should do "lua recipe-graph.lua" from the command line. Or mark it executable t...

Re: [0.9.2 - x64 & x86] Crash Loading All Games

Hello, I can confirm, that the save is loadable in 0.9.3, so you can just wait for it to be released (should be soon). Thanks very much that will be great. I was hoping it wasn't something I did. No worries at all, I will take the time to practise my early-game. Thank you for your prompt reply! :)

[0.9.2 - x64 & x86] Crash Loading All Games

Hey guys, I have begun running into some issues regarding loading my games. I can no longer load anything without the game crashing. I have read that there exists a bug where loading a 0.9.1 game with the 0.9.2 client will cause this crash but this is not the case for me as I have been using 0.9.2. ...

Re: [0.9.2 x64 build] Severe memory leak causing stutter?

I can confirm that I am suffering from the same FPS issues. At first I thought it was just my old laptop but the game runs perfectly 80% of the time. Every now and again, the FPS will drop to a stutter, but only if I move. If I stop moving everything seems to run at full speed again. Keep up the go...

Re: [0.9.2] Can't reseach automobilism (campaign)

if i'm correct, its fixable by updating $FACTORIO_HOME$/data/base/campaigns/beta/level-01/control.lua, adding technologies["engine"].enabled = true after this line local technologies = game.player.force.technologies It fixed it for me, but you still have to restart the campaign Thank you!...

Re: This game is amazing.

Heya! Well this is great, I wanted to create a new post saying pretty much what you have summed up! I am so glad indie developers are having such success today. I have rarely had the chance to enjoy games as I did growing up and I can honestly say this is the right direction for a game: gameplay. To...
