When I first learned about the "LDS shuffle" it just felt so silly and broken, so I'm really disappointed that this isn't being fixed. What is the rationale for leaving it like this?

I find the current behaviour bewildering to the point of annoyance. Normally I can understand the rationale for certain decisions, either from a performance or gameplay/balance perspective - even for some of the more "gamey" Space Age restrictions that don't make any real world sense.

I would really like something like this.

One of the issues with both the combinator and interrupt-for-each-item approaches that's worth noting is that trains will fill slots for the first listed type (e.g. iron) before any trains start going to the next one (e.g. copper), regardless of distance or ...

Ok it does still work, as long as the station in the blueprint doesn't have a colour set. When you initially place a station, its color property is unset and it uses the default colour. You can see this if you copy the blueprint string and paste it into a blueprint-to-JSON tool like https://burnysc2 ...

The other option that's worth considering is having a "Show in alt-mode" option on the combinators themselves, so that you can show it when useful and hide the rest. It would need to default to yes for constant combinators, and I could live with it defaulting to yes for everything.

I was about to post this myself - I waste loads of time searching for my tanks which is especially bad when I need one because biters are chewing on things.

The search function on the map/remote view should absolutely include vehicles - this is literally the first thing I tried to use it for.

Split the interface option for 'Show combinator settings in "Alt-mode"', into 'Show constant combinator settings' and 'Show other combinator settings'.

Oh please can this be changed. I was just about to make use of "set recipe" for things like logistics chests in my mall and after discovering this behaviour I'm probably just not going to bother. I was really looking forward to the set recipe feature so this is very disappointing.

I discovered that if the parameterised station name matches an existing station then it will use that colour. So I made a reference area with just stations to set all the colours and then have parameterised blueprints that include the station and whatever else I want.
