I'm in agreement about the Logistics. Hard to understand them without seeing them in action, but really bring a lot more freedom to factory design.

Perhaps another way of looking at it though is not as a maze, but as the original sandbox. The place of adventures and imagination.

And one of those 'toys' in the sandbox is a 'Big win button'.

It was playing with a smart inserter for me. I was trying to set it to only pick up metal gears when there were less than X in the network. I don't remember doing anything special.

Aah I see - so it's the fact there is a victory condition (which of course neither EvE nor Lego has! :D ) that is the issue. Correct, I was misunderstanding.

I voted for separate. There's already the kinda ghosted icons for those items you can't hand craft which confused me for a while (especially when so many suddenly appeared on starting oil for the first time!)

I read the Wiki pretty much cover to cover the day after watching a Let's Play, and the day before buying the game. In general it's pretty good and a lot better than many games I've seen. Definite credit to those who have put such work into something changing so fast ...

I got the same with Metal Iron Gears - just loading a save didn't work for me. I had to close the game and go back in to remove it.

CherryKiss - I think you're correct. I don't recall seeing the 1.5 boilers to engine ratio elsewhere before, might be worth sneaking into the Wiki somewhere.

I edged the line up to 10 boilers last night, and there was an improvement. Squeezing ...

I tried the electric pump last night (between pipes, before boilers)

Flow went from ~9.3 to ~0.5. Perhaps pumps work like boilers and I need a long line to ramp up the speed. Perhaps they should be placed after boilers, or in between steam engines. Much experimentation to be done I guess.
