I came across this bug in a LAN game, but can reproduce it in single player as well. Seems to be savegame-independent.
Build a splitter, mark for deconstruction:

These are the balancers for the blue belts, currently only for widths 3 to 16. I might make the larger ones as well, maybe later.

Excellent mod! But I never really liked the 'full-color' graphics for the barrels, so I made a set where all the new barrel types are just like regular steel barrels, but with a colored top. Looks a lot cleaner:
