Re: Development and Discussion
I think it would be cool to allow you to turn wood bricks into coke, to simulate charcoal. that way we can make carbon without using coal, allowing for a fully zero-fossil-fuels factory.

Re: AngelBob hoping for pre-mainbus help
I wouldn't mind joining in that multiplayer. I would consider myself pretty experienced with angelbobs, so I can help out too.

Re: Bugs & FAQ
I have found a few more bugs. I think I might have reported them before, but they weren't fixed yet, so I will mention them again just in case you didn't see it the pulping liquor chain doesn't actually use any cellulose at all. just producing wood from sulfur. I assume this is not intended? also, e...

Re: Development and Discussion
I remember a little while ago people were talking about converting hydrogen into steam, which was impossible because of the possibility of infinite energy loops, but I have been thinking: is it possible to create 15C steam? I know it is unrealistic, but if the game can support it, it would allow the...

Re: Development and Discussion
the composting recipes each use only 1 unit of fluid, which is really low, considering just about every other recipe involving fluid uses at least 10, and often around 100. also random idea, can we get some way to turn wood products into coke? I know coal would be overpowered because of the multitud...

Re: Friday Facts #225 - Bots versus belts (part 2)
I think the limitation that bots really need, is something that will make them more interesting, that could be overcome with clever design. also, simply reducing their cargo size, speed, or energy consumption will not help. as their throughput is still unlimited, you can always make more bots. I thi...

Re: Spawn rare Bob's ores
if you don't want all the ores to be rolled into a smaller number, just uninstall angels refining. that is the whole point of the mod. if you don't want it, don't use it. you can still use angels other mods without it

nodules are gone in 0.16. you now get magnesium and chrome from ferrous ore processing

Re: Bugs & FAQ
I understand that gardens are supposed to be rare, but it seems odd to gate progress behind exploration in a game about automation and logistics. in any case, in the current state, there will be a problem similar to korvarex enrichment, people will never use their gardens for anything until they hav...

Re: Bugs & FAQ
a couple notes on the new bioprocessing: gardens are super rare. based on what I understand, you will need around 8 of them before you can even make them on your own, and that seems like an impossible task. I have looked around the world in sandbox mode for almost half an hour, and only found about ...

Re: Bugs & FAQ
I noticed a couple bugs: sintering ovens require the previous tier of casting machines to build. also the ferrous or cupric solution recipes have no machine they can be made in. EDIT: also the electro whinning cell mk 2 is not any faster than the mk1, and also requires 3 of the mk1 to build. the mk3...

Re: Development and Discussion
unfortunately, using raw hydrogen to generate power can't be done, because that would allow for the creation of infinite energy loops with efficiency modules and such. that would be an even more egregious violation of thermodynamics. just assume the chemical plant is not capable of extracting the po...

Re: Development and Discussion
I have always felt that the combination smelting for iron and aluminium and such were pretty pointless, as they essentially just convert one ore type to another, but you can already do that much more easily with the combination sorting of the ores themselves. I think that the combination smelting sh...

A couple thoughts on angels smelting
hey, I've been playing angels smelting for a while and I have a few thoughts on possible minor improvements. the first is the alloying process. as it works now, it essentially allows you to convert one metal into another, however, this capability already exists in the form of combination ore sorting...

Re: Bugs & FAQ
is the iron ingot to steel ingot recipe supposed to be a 4:1 ratio? this doesn't make a lot of sense, as I can simply smelt iron plates into steel at a 1:2 ratio. it kinda makes steel smelting useless.

My trains keep crashing
I recently tried expanding my rail network to include two separate trains going to two separate stations on the same rail line. However, my trains constantly crash into one another. a search of the forum indicates that they should automatically path to avoid one another, but this does not seem to be...
