Our server has a BP book that's absolutely huge - it's a single version-controlled book filled with more books, and many large BPs.
It takes several minutes (often a lot longer) to copy the book over to the Game BP section and does so in the background. It's infuriatingly slow, but it gets there ...

We are desyncing over and over right now, if that's something you want to log in and see for yourself.

Re: [boskid][1.1.32] Desyncs in vanilla (brownout)
I will need more details or a running server to attach to on which i could try to see why the desync happens. For now moving this to pending.
The server is up and often "randomly" desyncs. There's usually some of us logged on and plenty of admins. Feel free to hop on. We can switch off uranium ...

[boskid][1.1.32] Desyncs in vanilla (brownout)
I had played multiple hours on a 1.1.32 vanilla MP server (AssemblyStorm weekly) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, without issues. A few other people had desyncs.
I logged onto a few other servers just now - no problem. Then I logged on to the AssemblyStorm weekly server and the moment I joined it ...

Re: [1.1.30] Desync vanilla after starting to place rail
Understood. I can't really give any other info since it wasn't anything special that I did either time. I actually tried again to join just now and was successful without desyncing.
The server is also randomly desyncing for several people now, including an <unknown-username>.

[1.1.30] Desync vanilla after starting to place rail
Hi,
I was on AssemblyStorm's vanilla MP server with about 8 players including myself. I'm told there had been some desync issues earlier in the day with others.
I had clicked on some old blueprints from my personal collection (so they would transfer in). Seemed to be no problem. So not sure if ...

[0.17.47] Modded - Crash
Single player modded crash here... I don't think I did anything to cause it - I was dragging a decon planner and it froze up and crashed.

Re: Friday Facts #289 - Character GUI - typo and stuff
For the Character screen, under Statistics, please change Entities and Ghost 'Build' to 'Built'. As it is right now, it's literally unplayable. Also change Ghost to plural - Ghosts.
For Weapons, you have a double-negative. If Damage is -769, that that's the same as healing 769.
Why is ammo listed ...

[0.16.20] Vanilla MP Crash - Right click on blueprint
Hi - I was playing MP. I think I was the only person on when this happened.
I had copied a Game Blueprint over to my blueprints, and that was fine. Then I went to right-click on the blueprint on my (right-hand) side and the game immediately crashed. Attached are the log and dump. Sorry, I don't ...

[0.15.34] UI issue - unable to see all side panel
This is a 'problem' rather than a bug. A quite irritating one, however, and has been an issue for years =)
#1 The lower right weapon hotbar thinger conceals it.
#2 Regardless of #1 it goes off the screen waaay down low.
My monitor resolution is 1920x1080. Screenshot attached.

[15.34] Freeze into crash while saving
Windows 10. Factorio launched through Steam.
I was renaming a train stop, and hadn't quite completed it.
Game went to autosave.
Autosave progress bar got about 2/3rds the way across and then the game froze.
I waited approx 10 minutes and it didn't unfreeze. I just had the animated blue circle ...

The computer this happened with is offline/unplugged right now, but would this be found in C:\Windows\Minidump\ ?
Do you want me to attach it to this post when I get the computer back online?

Both server and client are running Windows 10. Server was non-dedicated. No mods at all.
This crash has not happened before, but the circumstances leading to the crash haven't either (for us).
The world was first created when 0.15.23 was the latest version, but we always play on the latest ...

Re: Friday Facts #164 - Nuclear power
well uuh nuclear reactors (modern ones) don't really do a "big" explosion when stuff goes really wrong (like a meltdown).
maybe do it so that if stuff goes really wrong it will do a medium explosion and make so that the aria can't be accessed without proper equipment (like a powerarmor with some ...
