Re: [2.0.9] Train stations are marked as inaccessible
I should have been a little more specific. This message displays in the "Add Station" drop-down.
It doesn't make senses to me that one train allows access all stations, and another train cannot. Very strange bug.

[2.0.9] Train stations are marked as inaccessible
It says "Stop is inaccessible from current position". Yet I can manually drive a train around and access the stops.
I have three trains built, one shows all stops available. One shows two stops. One shows one stop.
What information do you need from me?

Re: How common is it to deconstruct EVERYTHING and start over late-mid game?
How often do players get overwhelmed later in the game, and then use robotics to completely dismantle their base and start over more organized? Like lay out a bunch of storage chests, select the entire factory, and dismantle that thing? Getting back to the original question. I don't deconstruct my ...

Re: Does the map have an edge?
My parking station in my home base is at: -141, -192.
And the station at the end of the sourthern line is at: 2194, 13456.
You are right, not far at all. Yikes.
Too many biters and spitters to deal with.
I suppose I could make an army of spidertrons ( I have 3 ).

Re: Does the map have an edge?
I don't know how many tiles I have travelled already, but it seems like too far to go for a lot of work. If there weren't so many aliens in the way, I might consider doing it. But poking holes through the alien bases is a lot of work. Now I have a railroad to nowhere : ) .

Does the map have an edge?
Has anyone found the edge of the map?
I'm currently about a 3.5 minute train run south of my base (about 1.5 rocket fuel canisters), and haven't found the edge yet.
Is there one, or does the map just keep growing in the direction I go?

Re: Spidertron walking tour / Ore prevalence
I am producing 13k/m copper ore (16k/m copper coil; 13k/m copper plate) and 8.3k/m iron ore (8.3k/m iron plate). Science is running around 77/m. I don't use productivity modules. Does this include the ~5.5-6k iron needed for the steel ? Yes, it does. I'm not booted into windows right now, can't loo...

Re: Spidertron walking tour / Ore prevalence
I've decided to stop using artillery. It's a bit harsh on the aliens.JimBarracus wrote: βFri Dec 10, 2021 9:00 am its a little costly, but I use artillery to uncover large parts of the map.
I still find the spidertron the best way to uncover the map at this point.
It can be dangerous though.

Re: Spidertron walking tour / Ore prevalence
Science (including space science) will require almost as much iron as copper (when not using prod modules). When using prod 3 modules, the balance is heavily shifted towards more iron than copper. Warfare, uses mostly iron (for the ammunitions). So all in all, chances are you'll need more iron than...

Spidertron walking tour / Ore prevalence
So I took a walking tour with my spidertron and on the new areas of the map I uncovered I found: Copper Ore: 936k, 18m, 28m, 17m Total: 64m Iron Ore: 5.5m, 14m, 27m, 13m, 10m, 14m, 19m, 27m, 5.7m Total: 135.2m Stone: 9.5m, 4m, 3.7m, 5.3m, 8.2m, 5.6m Total: 36.3 Coal: 14m, 25m, 26m, 18m, 30m Total: 1...

[1.1.21] Production / Consumption Graph has incorrect labels or colors for some fluids
On the fluids production/consumption screen, either the labels are mixed up,
or the colors are mixed up. Makes it a bit difficult to compare : ) .

[0.18.42] train condition 'passenger present' fails with multiple stations
I have two train stations named 'oil' . A train I use has station settings: Oil / Passenger not present Oil / Passenger present I enter the train, go to 'Oil' (usually the second). The train stops, I get off, the train moves on (normally when there is a single station, the train just waits). The tra...

Re: [0.18.40] logistic robots: starvation of resources (enough supply)
The algorithm is broken if particular destinations are ignored. Production should continue, very slowly, even if there were only a very small supply of robots. As it is, using a logistic robot network depends on: - a sufficient supply of roboports - a sufficient supply of materials. - a sufficent su...

Re: [0.18.40] logistic robots: starvation of resources (enough supply)
Same game, later on. The game says I have 21k of iron plates available to the logistic robot network. But the radar assembler, gear assemblers, and electric furnaces producing steel do not receive any iron plates. One interesting thing I noticed is that the robots were not taking the iron plates fro...

Re: [0.18.40] logistic robots: starvation of resources (enough supply)
I have attached a save file. In this particular case, there are five copper plate passive boxes with plenty of copper plates. I just dumped my personal inventory copper into the two assemblers. The robots started streaming copper plates into my inventory. But the nearby assemblers are not receiving ...

Re: [0.18.40] logistic robots: starvation of requestors (low supply)
I and I am thinking you are misunderstanding the issue. The proportions are not an issue, but the fact that some requestor boxes never get any supplies at all. And in the meantime, I can see supplies streaming by to other requestor boxes. These supplies should be going to all requestors in an equita...

Unfortunately there are no tools to solve this issue.
I cannot set the requestor boxes to only receive 1 or 5 items.

Re: [0.18.40] logistic robots: starvation of resources (enough supply)
Unfortunately, I no longer have a saved game showing this.
It has eventually resolved itself.
I don't know how long it takes a new requestor to become visible to the entire network.
But it seems to take longer than expected for the robots to get assigned to deliver to the new requestor.

[0.18.40] logistic robots: starvation of resources (enough supply)
In this scenario, I was producing enough copper plates, though not a huge excess. I added some new factories that requested copper plates. Even though the supply of copper plates was available (there were 3 provider chests, probably with about 10-20 available in each), no copper plates would be deli...
