Although it was never needed. I managed to open the port 34197 on my router. Determining its own IP adress seems to work.

I dont know if this error is related to the other one some how.
With 0.15.40. On the same computer on the same network I did not have any issues that Factorio could not determine its own IP adress, since 0.16.[6/7] it does.
Is this issue then related with the fact that other computers on another ...

@posila. I'll try that one. Since an update on that machine we where able to play for 3 hours straight, with no issues. If it happens again we'll try to run a single player map. To make the test correct is it an option to leave the machine in idle while running Factorio to see if that is the issue?

Small Update. My friend moved to another place. No issues found since then. Possibly we where connected to different routers which could be possible.
