I just started a fresh 0.17 game and on the quickbar only the "alt-mode" is available.
In YT videos (with previous versions) I've seen that these actions are available from the start.
Now these actions are blocked behind research.
The context text says:

On Steam linux 0.13.13 is "the latest beta" option
Hi,
I just noticed that the latest available version on steam linux (64-bit) is 0.13.13 as beta option. Regular is even 0.12.*
Not sure if this is a local issue with my steam or if there might be an issue with the steam configuration for facotorio on your end.

I updated bobslogitics from 0.12.5 to 0.12.7. It does look like the new intermediate robot frames are missing for crafting.
Can you please have a look?
