Why cant you mix both server client and step locking together?
Have the "auto-save" become "auto-push", so all the clients still run on there own but one player pushes there game to all other clients. So this way everyone wins.
I don't know, call it "step server"?

Another good use of the red (blue)print is reclining walls after attacking a nest.
I also done it where I added repair packs before taking on a nest, sadly, the bots do get hit... Why can they not just fly higher in the air

Yes that is one way I am aware of, however, using that it takes alot more belts and space at the start.

Simple idea, add a UI for the splinters to allow us to wight the outcome. I have a line of splinters currently, Line 1 gets 1 in 2 items Line 2 gets 1 in 4 items Line 3 gets 1 in 8 items ... Line 10 gets 1 in 1024 items. Let me change it I can send 1 in 10 items out the first, 1 in 9 on the second, ...

Thanks for the report. This is now fixed for the 0.9.1 and your save will be loadable there. The cause of this crash was not the blueprint in the inventory but rather some other error. Could be something with fluids in the chemical plant as we have fixed a crash there in the 0.9.1. I also been hit ...
