The image link is broken. If you're using Imgur for example, make sure you use the direct link that has the .png or some such in it. I can see the image. I did always found it confusing when first starting out how there isn't one overarching tech tree that ties everything together. Why does it have an almost copper-like color to it? Rust from exposure to moisture? The item is probably optimized to be displayed with dark background as in the inventory, hence it is brighter. Expansion is not disabled; I just tested in a sandbox at 16x speed.
