Currently if you take an unit and add a dying explosion that creates an entity like an assembling-machine-1, the created entity is created under the players force instead of the dying units force.
Would it be possible to have this switched so that the dying explosion is created with the same force as the dying entity?

You can use a 'dying_trigger_effect` instead of a dying_explosion, this will let you create an entity with the correct force (or do anything with the trigger effect)

That seems more like a bug in the logic than a mod interface request. I'm going to move this to bug reports and assign it to myself.
