You can research the Space Science pack (and with that, the satellite), without researching accumulators, which are part of the satellite recipe.
Making it impossible to craft the satellite without going back to research accumulators.
Pretty sure that this is pretty much not an issue, more of a minor inconvenience at best, especially with the incentive to research everything, but it's still a thing.

It does not tell you: If you have A you can do B.

You can research the satellite without researching accumulators, the latter being required to make the satellite, leaving you unable to actually craft the satellite. It's very much a prerequisite, just not one that gets displayed. That's what this is about.
And pretty much every other research shows you what the item/one of the items that are part of that technology can be used for (for example: Rocketry unlocks the rocket, which can be used to make the explosive rocket, all of which gets displayed correctly on the research screen;Advanced Electronics 2 unlocks the Processing Unit, and is a prerequisite to everything that needs those Processing Units), so even if it wasn't wrong, it still would at least be an inconsistency.

Technologies unlock technologies and recipes, that's it, they say nothing about your ability to perform them. There is no other rule to why a prerequisite exist between X and Y but that a dev wanted one to be there.

This is very much a bug, but half the developers don't understand.
Report it again in a month, maybe you will get a developer that implements it.

Of course that's a bug! It does make the Space science pack technology tree a bit uglier to draw, but indeed technology pre-requisities should always be there to be able to craft the things a technology unlocks. I was just made aware of it, sorry for the long delay. Fixed in next release.

...or extend mod: Science Pack Dependencies to scan everything, and fix it in post. (I was amused that existed, though I understood the desire to fix it for yourself that'd get it created.)
