[0.17.47] Crash on startup (won't even get to the loading screen)

Same issue. My Intel and NVIDIA drivers appear to be up to date.

Updated all drivers, and still having the same issue on 0.17.48

0.17.45 is still working fine.

Just for completionist's sake, I tried to launch 0.17.48 with all mods disabled, and I still got the crash on startup. Here's the Vanilla log.

Try to open config.ini and add at the bottom of the file

config.ini is in config subfolder of directory that contains factorio-current.log

Adding in that line made the game start up normally. Thanks!

Will I have to change this each time a new version is released, or should I be good to go from here?

Unless you downgrade to 0.16 or delete the config file, the change will stay in your config, so you don't need to do it every time.

Thanks for the help with this! I won't be downgrading to 0.16 for any reason that I can think of, so we should be all set!
