I am trying to run a server using the newest Alpha build: 0.17.4. I am unable to run it properly due to the following repeated error:
1.045 Error FileUtil.cpp:401: Couldn't remove C:\Factorio_0.17.4\temp\currently-playing\level-init.dat: Incorrect function.
This error is repeated for many file names, all of which appear to be temporary files that are created for backup purposes. These errors occur when starting the server, and again when shutting it down using "ctrl+c".
I am able to run a server just fine using the current stable build: 0.16.x.
Thanks.

Re: [0.17] Server - "Couldn't remove (filename) - Incorrect Function
You need to update windows.
Re: [0.17] Server - "Couldn't remove (filename) - Incorrect Function
This seems to be common problem on Windows 10 - Version 1607 (Anniversary Update). 65726
Re: [0.17] Server - "Couldn't remove (filename) - Incorrect Function
That fixed it!
I updated Windows and the errors are now gone. I had "automatic updates" disabled because it's a server and I don't want it updating and restarting on its own. It appears that I haven't updated in a while. Lesson learned.
Thanks very much for the help. Excellent customer support from you guys!
Cheers.
