In the last few years, i read about loggin in to factorio by your username, i never did this, i always used my email adres. (i never used the right way to login). I always change afterwards my ingame name at options:
Here is the procedure:
1.) Login with email:
2.) Inlog with email succesvol.
3.) At settings your username = your email adress.
4. Change username:
The Automatic update screen (login windows) allows the user to login with a email adres.
I know the right way to login now, but its still a bug, and a bit confusing if everyone says you cannot login with email adresses, and i always used it.
