Bug with steam join (0.14.13)

I was able to reproduce this bug twice in a row, I was in my own public server and I clicked join game on my steam friends list who was in his server.
Even after I log out of my server manually and join his the Connecting to the game bar will still be there until I restart my client. I also should mention that I was still able to manipulate things such as picking assembly machines up, mine ore, mining trees, and that was the only things I tried to do, the only thing I couldn't do was place objects.
My friend was also able to recreate this, so it's not just me.
