Factorio 14.12 Slow when Running as a Client (5FPS)

Factorio is slow for me when I am running a s a client. When I connect to some of the big multiplayer game on the internet I am unable to catch-up with the game.

Working with a friend (who has a mega map), he paused the game to allow me to connect and catch-up.

This is what I am seeing:

Of particular interest are the Entity Update and CRC numbers. What can I do to decrease them as a client?
PS: I was able to join this map with no lagging in v13.

Those CRC timings are insane... can you upload the map so I can try it on my computer? There's no way it should be that high.
