Screen Flashes on Player Join (Multiplayer)

Hello

During a multiplayer session, when someone joins the screen will constantly flash. Once the player leaves and joins the flashing becomes less frequent but is still there.

This is a pretty bad issue it's not latency or anything like that but waiting.
If you enable the MP Debug everytime waiting happens the screen flickers every single time. It's quite insane how often it triggers depending on the situation.

It's because the new dimming I guess is tied to more then just auto save etc. So I assume you just have to get that dimming under control and that will fix this

Thoses flashes are horrible, cant play with that.

Happens every 1-3 seconds and even the music fades out!

Same here, I don't think it's latency, me and a friend have 12-30ms ping most of the time peer-to-peer. It only started with 12.9 and happens even is you start a new muliplayer map. "Enable multiplayer latency hiding" does not seem to have an affect. Flashes about 1-3 times a second. V-Sync on or off doesn't help. Gona have to wait on this one out

it's the new dim effect happening on wait. If you enable the MP Debug stuff you can see each time wait icon flashes the screen flickers. It's because it's diming on and off quickly.

Same problem here. Good to know other people are aware of it.

Is there an option somewhere to disable or alter the tint when paused/waiting? I can mute the game and deal with minor slowdown, but the flickering gives me a headache.

yeah, I hope this is more of a hotfix problem than a wait it out kind of thing.

If not for it fixing the shotgun I would un-update.

Who knows. I don't think the devs know hotfix. Because before they mention hotfix a couple weeks ago now their doing early accesses the Shotgun was quite devastating. Half the community did not update. Now this MP Bug makes MP not usable. Guys on IRC making sound like there is going be no hotfix... So what do before back in the day if the game crashed for everyone wait 1-2 weeks for a fix since Hotfixes suppose to be a newish thing now...

I'm only asking because I'm just trying to understand the point of the deployer system etc.. If it's not to make things like this a easy breeze what can we do to make it happen?
