What did you do?
I updating my save game to the Factorio 2.1.7 experimental
What happened?
Within a few minutes of playing I had one of my space platforms destroyed. I missed the notifications of it getting damaged as I was busy fixing the things the upgrade broke (that were stated within the FFF)

Loading the save game from just before the migration showed what was happening, the gun turrets had ammo, they were pointing towards asteroids, but they did not do their gun turrets muzzle flash animation, until the asteroid got really close by.
What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
I expect the behaviour of gun turrets to be unchanged. If you load the attached save game in a pre update version, the space platform "[item=promethium-science-pack] Science storage" does not get damaged within 1 minute of simulation, while it does get a lot of damage in the new factorio version
Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
The bug seems to be limited to gun turrets off center on a space platform, mainly affecting the ones more than 64 tiles to the side of the main hub.

It never happens in the stable version, it always happens for a specific space platform in the experimental

Would be amazing if space age include something like https://mods.factorio.com/mod/space-platform-graveyard when a plateform is destroyed it's very hard to find what was the problem in vanilla. Maybe don't delete the surface until the player remove the ghost of the space hub ?
