[2.1.7] After research is set using circuits there is no way to stop the research.

Post by kinokura »

I connected the lab to the circuit network to start research. I setup only a single technology condition. After removing the condition, the research kept going. Even after completely disconnecting the lab from any network, the technology tree still says research is being set by a lab and there is no way to cancel the research. Even when the lab is removed it still says research is being set by a lab, but hovering to show the lab's location no longer shows anything.

A temporary fix to change the research is to set a different technology using circuit conditions.

edit: removing the lab did fix the issue

After more testing, it looks like manual control is only returned when unchecking or removing the lab. When the lab is disconnected from the circuit network, the research doesn't update and return manual control.

Also I'm guessing it is intended that research is started when the condition is met, and remains queued even when the condition is no longer true. I'm not sure.

Thanks for the report. I've changed it for the next release so if the lab is physically disconnected from the circuit network it will also stop acting as if it's setting the active research.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
