[2.0.57] Rocket can be filled over capacity

Post by sanakan »

Rockets can be filled over the 1 ton capacity, although they cannot be launched in this state.

To Reproduce
  • Chose a rocket silo with an empty rocket inventory
  • Add a stack of 10 thrusters by left clicking (not shift clicking!) on a stack in the left hand side character inventory, and moving/dropping them in the right hand side rocket inventory.
See attached save game.
In this state, the rocket cannot be launched, although no feedback is given to the user (message

Expected behaviour
The game should match the behaviour when shift-clicking and limit the number of items placed in the rocket inventory to the capacity. I _think_ this is a regression from previous versions (<= 2.0.55), although I cannot verify this (I don't know how to downgrade :)).
If what I experienced is intended behaviour, I expect a message (in the rocket inventory UI, or even in the console) informing me that the rocket is over capacity and cannot be launched

Variations
The same behaviour occurs when the rocket already contains items under its capacity. The real world scenario that I experienced was having two cargo bays and three thrusters (totaling 800 kg), and then adding a stack of 50 inserters - resulting in 1.8 tons placed in the rocket inventory.

Additional Information
  • This bug was found In a vanilla game, without any 3rd party mods nor quality involved on any components
