- connect infinity pipe with water on the input side
- notice the water is not flowing in
see the comments in data.lua around line 40, the furnace just refuses to take in any liquid if there's a pipe connection at the production_type input side that is input-output, extra input & output pipe connections do not cause this issue.
the expected behavior is that you can have input-output flow directions on the input side of a fluid using furnace.
in the meantime i might just have to make the liquid flow through other compound entities in order to split the flow, but it would be nice if this just worked.
edit 1: applies to assembling machines too, and only when there's an "input" and an "input-output" present, if both are "input-output" it does work as expected, still there should probably be either a bugfix or data stage assertion for this situation.
