My save folder has long since passed the maximum size allowed by the steam cloud sync.
I have cloud sync disabled for factorio.
Yet every time I start the game I get a Low available space in Steam Remote Storage warning.


I expect it to not show the warning if cloud sync is disabled.

What you can disable is the synchronization of save files in steam and the synchronization of blueprints in game. There is no way to disable cloud storage altogether so the warning is always relevant.

Ok, but I have already disabled both settings for years.
So why is it claiming that the storage is full?

You can temporarily enable cloud sync in steam, delete all of the saves from the saves folder and it will sync the empty folder to steam storage deleting them. Then disable it and it will stay empty.

Of course, if you don't actually want to delete your saves - rename the folder before doing this and it will automatically think they were all deleted.

I'll see if we can disable this warning if both the steam cloud storage is disabled and the in-game sync-blueprint-library is disabled.
