Why?
Currently most products are now craftable in new, specialized, Space Age buildings. The Combat tab is almost entirely absent from this. This building would fill that gap for all types of expendable items.The building would also present a new puzzle with unique benefits. The building has no productivity and limited module slots as a tradeoff for skipping intermediate build steps like the Foundry, using primarily liquids, and an innate Quality bonus. The bonus is also unique as it provides guaranteed Quality products when the building has a high quality level. The size, number of liquid ingredients, large energy consumption, and strange interactions with speed modules & beacons provides a new challenge for post game building. The building is also unlocked late enough to not trivialize any challenges, only reduce the tedium of farming infinite technologies.
