Post by burninghey »

When building a rail signal ghost at existing signals in map view, issueing an "upgrade order" with the other type (rail signal <-> rail chain signal) wrong sound effect is played

Adding to the report, if you keep building the same signal on the same spot it will cycle between placing a ghost and making an upgrade request.
The sound is just a side effect of the buildability logic.

Still actual on 2.0.47
Steps to Reproduce
  1. Place a chain signal
  2. In a remote view, replace it with rail signal via normal Click
  3. In a normal view while being out-of-reach, replace it with rail signal via Shift+Click
Expected:
  • Upgrade tasks are created
Actual:
  • Upgrade tasks are created
  • Error sound is played, both cases

Fulgora is the best planet. Vulcanus needs rework. Feel free to prove me wrong.
