I'm often on a space platform 'moving' power poles for red/green wires and remove the copper wires because they're not needed and make things look better.
However when cutting and pasting them the game re-adds the cut wires so i have to remove them again. Quite annoying.
I've made a video displaying the behaviour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noAuGStwR8A
Edit: seems the red/green wire also gets copied:
[2.0.19] Cutting and pasting a power pole re-adds copper wires that were previously removed
Re: [2.0.19] Cutting and pasting a power pole re-adds copper wires that were previously removed
Unfortunately i am going to classify this as Not a bug. Given that you are creating a blueprint with a single pole, when this blueprint is placed somewhere it sees the other pole as "unrelated pole outside of the blueprint" in which case the blueprint logic is allowed to add external copper wires. Without this behavior any blueprint that is placed with electric poles would fail to connect blueprint poles to external poles requiring copper cables to be always added manually. What you are asking for is effectively a "negative external wires" where entity would remember all entities it was not connected to so in case of cut-paste, it would reject connecting to those entities just in case. Given that such feature was never considered or implemented, this goes to Not a bug.
