When i Mark a Tank with a deconstruction planner it does not get mark for deconstruction.
When I use a deconstruction planner with A Tank filter the Tanks also do not get marked for deconstruction.

Thanks for the report, this is not a bug. There is usually no reason to deconstruct vehicles en-masse. You can "mine" them individually using remote view which marks them for deconstruction.

Are there any plans to change this? I am currently using cars to bridge between trains and assemblers for direct insertion and after an error I'm faced with deconstructing dozens of cars manually. It seems a little odd that you can specify vehicles in the deconstruction planner even though it can't select them, maybe if we explicity include cars in the planner it could work as if it was any other entity?

Deconstructing vehicles on whitelist filter seems reasonable to me, it does add a bit of game mechanics complexity though...

The bug here seems to be that you can select the car in the deconstruction planner at all. If it can't be deconstructed, then it should be hidden from the selection menu.

Well, the "deconstruction" of car ghosts is useful and intended mechanic, so I think it should remain in the filters. The confusion it creates is unfortunate, honestly not sure what is the best solution.

When using my RoboTank mod, I can deploy a squad of tanks remotely using a blueprint, but picking them up again has to be done using the right-click-in-map-view mining trick (which I only learned about from this forum post).
That said, it is sometimes useful that the vanilla tank and car cannot be deconstructed, since I can Alt+D select a region around the vehicle I am riding in to clear nearby trees, rocks, and cliffs. In that case, right-click from the map view produces a message, "This cannot be mined." So if vehicles are made deconstructable by a planner, a vehicle containing a player character should probably still be exempt.
