Show connected fluid boxes in the Fluid system GUI

Post by Loewchen »

What ?
List connected fluid boxes with their respective filters in the GUI below so that incorrect connections can be identified.

Why ?
Unlike incorrect fluids in pipes, there is currently no good way to identify and locate incorrect input or output connections in fluid systems.

You will still get the same "Cannot connect systems with different fluids" warning, but both systems only show containing one and the same fluid which does not allow to identify the system with the defect and is confusing even to experienced players that are not aware of this specific behavior.
After identifying the type of problem, it can still be a very time consuming task to locate the issue as neither entity type, recipe or fluid are known.

Assuming this is related to viewtopic.php?f=18&t=101528

If I understand this correctly. The whole confusion is caused by the 2 seemingly separate inputs on a chemical plant are actually considered "connected" if the input types are the same? Regardless of the fact that fluid does not flow between the inputs?

Would this not be corrected by somehow "really separating" the inputs?

Then the whole situation would not exist.

It's not, that one is easy to debug. Examples would be: 90269 96997 94041 92198
