I was aiming at the general audacity of an aggressor to blame the defender to use civilians as human shields as Lavrov and his possy keep reiterating. The poor Russians simply had no other choice than invading Ukraine, shoot at civilians and bombard their cities. But I'm sure for the likes of you this all makes sense in the grand scheme. And that Russian leadership is regarded as dumb savages is all just evil western propaganda.

Really I just tried to avoid taking a side. Guess what would be the oppsite of saying "Both sides can end the war." Well, per logic "Only one side can end the war.". Combine that with wanting the war to end and bam! That is taking a side.

I was one of those who was confused by that and "took a stand" against kovarex's statements on various subjects. even I would defend Wube's right to speak their mind - even if it's stuff I disagree with. why not? it's just words. why should I want them to walk on egg-shells and be afraid to speak to their community?
I see the website and the forum as centered around a certain videogame and it's development. Politics simply has no place here (well except

I am not directly against freedom of speech, but one should respect that not everything belongs everywhere. Yeah I know that's not what comes down when reading what I said, that is my bad. I am trying to defend escapism. I go to the website to get info on the game, not to get news or statements related to politics that I am sometimes overdosed with against my will.
Politics does not belong on my steam news feed. I can't be thinking about the war or any sort of political matter 24/7! I want some time where no one reminds me of it especially as someone suffering from an attention disorder.
The right place for taking political stances is not the Factorio website, nor posted on the top of unrelated pages. Off-topic is where this belongs, not the "Factorio news".... ok well the "news" part of the war probably does belong there, because part of the dev team is directly affected, but then at the very very
very least respect both sides instead of calling one of them out. I really like the following way to put it:

I invite you to look at the first post you made on this website, it is availble when you click on your profile. Then you would realize than you started introducing yourself to the community by a post that clearly chooses one side, without any factual evidence, clearly saying that it was just your opinion.
Fast forward 2 week of attempted invasion of ukraine by russian army, and you are now trying to silence people who disagree with the side you originally displayed your sympathy to by telling them to shup up if they do not have factual evidence.
While at the same time repeating every single argument from the russian state owned media, without attributing them to the russian state owned media and puting the propaganda directly into a forum for video game while no-one sane would expect to use this place as a way to inform themselves.

EU policy is to block Russian propaganda, and as citizen of EU I do not have access to blocked propaganda. All my sources are freely available in the EU and you can read them yourself.

I don't see the point in replying to posts based on twisting my words (without links to my posts with these phrases) and taking them out of context. For this, there is Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and what else.
