Thank you for this game.
A request:
Inventory management: I have difficulty, in a loaded inventory, locating the objects that I placed into it.
I would like some sort of easy solution to this, such as a ping and flash animation showing the most recent item added to the inventory. That would make is easier for me to memorise where it went.

Sort: Turn it on in the options! I'm sure you will find it.
The flashing: hm. I thought such a kind is built in, but not very visible.
Sort should be turned on by default and flash much more visible.

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

In the mean time, you can mouse-over an item in your recipe list and it'll highlight that item for you, wherever it is in your inventory.Reduced_Silver wrote:Thank you for this game.

Yes, I believe there should be something like that. The solved it nicely in "Don't starve".
Added it to the issues list.

showing Item uses
I took inspiration from "NEI" mod for minecraft. I think it will be VERY useful to see what is highlighted item used for.
Ex. highlighting iron gear and pushing any key will show me transport belts, assembly machines, etc...
Personal note: I am NOT a programmer so i dont know, how difficult it would be from development point of view.

Re: showing Item uses
But why?
You already have item recipes, not only that you are told both the items involved in last step as well as total amount of base resources needed.
Showing how many items could be crafted from this particular item would be clunky (there is a LOT of items that are crafted from metal plates, gears or wires)

Re: showing Item uses
Yes, being able to see what is built from an item could be very useful for setting up assembly lines just so you know what other factories will need to draw from it, so you can build in the space ahead of time rather then having to rip everything up latter meet the demand such as for electronic circuits.
